Best of 2013

Reflecting on a year past is one of my favorite exercises. I spend much of New Year’s Day each year sitting by a fire, poring over the past year’s calendar day-by-day and perusing photos of the year. I try to marinate in gratitude for what has happened and for people I’ve encountered and from whom I’ve learned or benefitted. Striving is Overrated

The most fun thing I did last year was to roll down a steep hill, coming eventually to rest on a plateau. It wouldn’t have been fun if I didn’t plan it, but I did do it on purpose. I took to the grass with a friend, head to head, and we rolled like logs, laughing hysterically. It was pure fun, simple, free and spontaneous.

2011 was the year I first did… several things!
