Searching for Sugarman Documentary and Discussion
April 1, 2013 @ 6:30 pm - 10:00 pm$6
Searching for Sugarman, an Oscar-winnning documentary, is the story of a man who had no idea he was famous. Sound impossible? Come watch this with us, and let’s discuss it afterwards. We’ll think about the themes of identity, how we see ourselves, how we react to how others see us (or our perceptions and misperceptions about that), and how we might change that to be more open to one another (and to our own gloriousness).
We’ll have movie theater snacks too. The fee covers that cost. Our events are always open to people who cannot pay; please email Cary at firstname.lastname@example.org, if we can cover the cost for you and thus make it possible for you to be there.
Limited to 25 people to insure that you’re not in someone’s lap (though you may still be mighty close!).
Location near 16th & U Streets, NW, DC. Exact details will be sent later.
Come on; it’ll be a better event with YOU there.
