Cary Teaching “Your Story, Your Sweet Spot”

April 28, 2012 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

$20

When it’s time to grow up, many of us put aside what we loved and dreamed about in childhood. We scaffold a life that we think we’re supposed to have. But sometimes we end up singing, like the Talking Heads, ‘Same as it ever was’ or ‘… how did I get here?’ It’s not too late to resurrect your dreams and see how they relate to finding your sweet spot for work and play. Come explore the themes of your life and loves, and see where they want to take you (whether or not you ever choose to change your external situation). Materials provided; bring only your imagination and an openness to saying ‘What if?’ You’ll be doing your own reflecting in class and beyond. No forced, cheesy group activities. Includes a bit of wandering the National Portrait Gallery, thinking about your name and face in the context of others’ stories hanging on the walls.
